Fortune Fades.

„You drink precious wine like water in an overpriced bar.
Next to a refugee shelter.
feeling the unfairness.

All you should know fortunes fades.“

Fortune Fades I The Radar Station

Mehr Demut. Mehr Dankbarkeit.

Alles vergeht.

“Fortune Fades” is our 21st-century protest song.
I wrote the lyrics after witnessing a scene at a café in Brussels, just across from ‘het klein kasteeltje’, a refugee centre.
A young, impeccably dressed woman sipped her cocktail, untouched by the world around her, while dozens of refugees waited in line, sheltering in worn-out one-minute tents.
One man, overwhelmed by the injustice, hurled a beer glass and shouted in a language we didn’t understand.
Later, the police questioned him. She was simply annoyed by the broken glass.
But one day, the tables will turn. Our luck will run out. Our fortune will fade.
