Tom Smiths Stimme. Und alles ist besser. Wie ich sehe, zieht er sich gerade etwas zurück. Zumindest von den Editors. Nach 20 Jahren. Was für ein Verlust. Das Gute daran: Er macht solo weiter. Vorerst. Und ja, auch das lohnt sich jetzt schon mit „Lights of New York„. Ob jemals ein Song an die Liveaufnahme von „No Sound but the Wind“ herankommt, wage ich zu bezweifeln. Ich glaube, das geht nicht. 🙂
Ach ja, Springsteens Dancing in the Dark hat er gecovert. Und das ist … verdammt gut.
Und so hoffe ich, dass ich ihn solo oder mit den Editors einmal live sehen darf. Wer ihn bisher noch nicht gehört hat: Kopfhörer und laut hören. Und gleich mit „No Sound but the Wind“ starten. Wer weiß, was morgen kommt.
